Hotel description and useful information for travellers

Cleanliness

Multiple guests described rooms as clean, spacious and well kept; several reviews explicitly state 'clean' or 'no complaints'.

Service

Staff are frequently praised as friendly and helpful (front desk, Stephen, restaurant staff); a few isolated service lapses reported (missed towels, child's bed not made).

Location

Consistently described as an ideal downtown location — close to the waterfront, convention centre, museums and walkable attractions; many reviews highlight the excellent position and views.

Room Quality

Rooms are often spacious and some guests received attractive suite upgrades, but several negative reports on HVAC/AC failures, heating problems, noisy space heaters, a bathroom door issue, tired decor and a poor sofa bed reduce the score.

Amenities

Gym, pool and hot tub are enjoyed by guests and valet/kitchette upgrades noted; however the pool being unheated and occasional amenity shortcomings were mentioned.

Value for Money

Multiple reviewers call the hotel expensive or not good value for the price; explicit mentions that they expected more for the rate and price-related complaints appear several times.
