Hotel description and useful information for travellers

Cleanliness

Generally praised as very clean with daily housekeeping; isolated reports of insufficient cleaning on occasion.

Service

Mixed: several comments about friendly, helpful staff and a patient manager, but multiple reports of stiff/unfriendly reception, slow or incompetent handling (overcharge/deposit issues).

Location

Consistently highlighted as an excellent Manhattan location — quiet, close to subway lines and within walking distance of many sights.

Room Quality

Mixed: some guests received renovated, spacious rooms; others reported small rooms, bed-size mismatch and occasional shower flow problems.

Amenities

Some useful on-site options (cafe, restaurants, bottled water supply) but notable issues: broken water refill station, elevator reliability problems, no minibar and occasional shower flow issues.

Value for Money

Several guests felt the price was too high for the experience, citing overcharge/deposit disputes and overall perceived poor value.

Custom Artwork and Vintage Charm in Lobby:

Step into a bygone era at Arthouse Hotel, where custom artwork, an original fireplace, and a 1920’s elevator system welcome you in the lobby, setting the tone for a unique and memorable stay.

Luxurious Rooms and Amenities:

Indulge in comfort and convenience in our rooms and suites, equipped with flat-screen TVs, desks, and in-room safes. Some units even boast private balconies, offering a special touch to your Upper West Side experience.
