Hotel description and useful information for travellers

Cleanliness

Multiple guests reported inconsistent housekeeping (rooms not cleaned, had to request towels/toilet paper), dirty/old-smelling rooms and some hall cleaning issues — overall below-par cleanliness.

Service

Staff are frequently described as kind and helpful at reception; good guest interactions reported, though a few booking/room allocation problems and housekeeping lapses were noted.

Location

Consistently praised: central, ideal position in the Loop, steps from River Walk and attractions with outstanding city/river views.

Room Quality

Mixed reports: some comfortable beds and good views but many rooms described as small, outdated or lacking furniture (no safe, no fridge), with occasional unpleasant odors.

Amenities

Multiple mentions of complimentary bottled water machines on floors, free coffee/Nespresso and cappuccino self-service — useful but fairly basic amenity offering.

Value for Money

Mixed sentiment: several guests found it cost-effective for the location, while others felt the price did not reflect room condition or level of service.

Historic Charm and Modern Comforts

Experience the blend of history and modernity at our iconic Chicago hotel located within Mather Tower. Enjoy stunning views of the Chicago River and city skyline from our stylish rooms equipped with free Wi Fi.

Prime Location for Exploring

Conveniently situated near the Magnificent Mile, Grant Park, and Navy Pier, our hotel offers easy access to Chicago's top attractions. Immerse yourself in the vibrant city life just steps away from our doorstep.
