Hotel description and useful information for travellers

Cleanliness

Mixed: several guests praised the hotel as very clean and the pool area excellent, but there are multiple reports of cleanliness problems (stained toilet, flooding bathroom, lipstick-stained glasses, flies on drinks, slow towel/amenity replenishment and general restaurant clearing issues).

Service

Mixed to positive: many mentions of friendly and helpful staff (specific praise for 'Sr Salvador', reception and bar staff), but notable operational/service failures reported (overcharging/charging errors at the piano bar, room mix-ups, slow responses to requests).

Location

Mixed: praised for rooftop restaurant views and available parking, but at least one guest noted it requires a taxi ride to the town beach; location is good for scenic/onsite amenities but not waterfront-walkable for all guests.

Room Quality

Mixed: several guests described spacious, comfortable rooms and nice balconies, but there are recurring complaints about uncomfortable/hollow/mattress-spring beds, small balconies, odd room smells and bathroom flooding in one report.

Amenities

Generally positive: pool, spa, rooftop restaurant and chill areas are well-liked and the car park is safe. Some negatives include a small/slow lift, small poorly equipped gym, towel deposit policy, and mosquito problems around green areas.

Value for Money

Slightly below average: guests enjoyed many paid amenities (spa, pool, buffet) but raised concerns about billing inconsistencies/overcharging, deposits for towels and the need to request basic items, which lowers perceived value.

Discover the perfect blend of relaxation and adventure at Hotel Baia Grande, where heavenly escapes await you by the ocean in Albufeira.

Unwind in Luxury

Indulge in rejuvenating massages, soothing body treatments, and refreshing facials at our wellness center. With both outdoor and indoor pools, plus a relaxing sauna, you can leave your cares behind and embrace tranquility.
