Hotel description and useful information for travellers

Cleanliness

Multiple reviews mention rooms being dirty, worn or not well maintained; specific complaints about cleanliness and rundown condition.

Service

Mixed service: polite front desk, luggage storage and flexible checkout noted, but also long check-in waits, no bellboy and occasional booking/room allocation errors.

Location

Consistently praised for an excellent, central location near Penn Station/Madison Square Garden/subway — a major positive across reviews.

Room Quality

Mixed reports: some rooms spacious and suitable for families, others small, outdated or with broken fittings (drawers, coat hooks) and uncomfortable sofa beds.

Amenities

Amenities are mixed: breakfast and towels receive positive mentions, but elevators are reported out of order at times and some maintenance issues exist.

Value for Money

Several guests note the location commands a premium; some feel price-quality balance is lacking given room condition and service inconsistencies.

Convenient Location

Situated just a 5-minute walk from Penn Station, the TRYP by Wyndham New York City Times Square / Midtown offers easy access to transportation and nearby attractions like the Empire State Building and Madame Tussauds.

Modern Amenities

Enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV, and an i Pod docking station in each stylish room. The hotel also boasts a 24-hour fitness center, a trendy restaurant, and a cozy library for guests to unwind.
